Investing into a second generator

My local part experiences extremely serious weather, but the summers are tepid and humid, with hot and cold temperatures soaring into the high eighties or even the nineties.

The winters bring learnings down to downside twenty-five, brutal wind chill and feet of snow! In-between, the conditions tend to be chilly, windy and wet, however my associate and I switch between operating the a/c and relying on the heating system with genuinely little break.

There is never a enjoyable time to go without a working heating or cooling system. If we’re left without heat while in the sub zero winter season weather, the water pipes could freeze and burst; Without electricity, the heating system and a/c won’t start up, and unfortunately, power outages are quite common. Thunderstorms, blizzards and our wide variety of hard weather causes troubles with the electrical lines, however a few years ago, we were left without electricity for four afternoons while in the month of June. The home quickly became overheated and horribly sticky. The moisture led to troubles with mold and mildew growth. My associate and I were unable to run the air condition, utilize box fans, flush toilets or take showers! Some of the food in the refrigerator and freezer spoiled. It was inconvenient and aggravating. I realized that the same situation while in the winter season would be devastating. I hired a local electrician to install a backup generator. Although the cost was quite high, it has been worth it. Whenever the electricity goes out, the generator automatically starts up, takes over and provides adequate power to run the home for as long as necessary, and because it runs on natural gas, there is no worry over running out of fuel.
