My dogs chased down the burglar

I work night security at a large property where there is a plumbing, heating, and AC repair business.

The grounds for the business are quite large and I have to patrol the area on a small golf cart. I take my dogs with me every night to work. They are great guard dogs and they can run really fast. A couple of nights ago, I was working at the plumbing, heating, and AC repair business, and my dogs chased down a burglar. The guy was outside of the warehouse where we keep all of the supplies. There are items in there that are small enough to carry and would fetch a huge amount of money. We have several space heaters, air conditioners, and air purifiers in there. We also keep tanks of refrigerant. When I saw the guy outside of the building, I told my dogs to chase him down. The guy was running fast, but my dogs were running faster. The dogs grabbed the guy by the leg and he dropped to the ground. I told the dogs to release and they let go of the burglar. I called the police and gave them the address of the plumbing, heating, and AC repair business. It took them 30 minutes to arrive, even after I told them that there was an emergency and I caught someone trying to break into the property. I was aggravated by the response time and the next morning I went right into the office to talk to my boss. I had the guy detained, but what if things went sour.
