Ready for my window a/c
I can’t guess that I’m getting a new window air conditioner this week! I know some people might not think much of it, after all it’s not super extravagant it’s just a window air conditioner, although I have never had an air conditioner that’s portable before & so I’m super excited for it; I live in an environment where it’s really boiling & Sandy you are around.
I quite literally live out in the middle of the desert… As you can imagine it gets really boiling here, & the summers are almost unbearable, and every year no matter how strenuous I try to avoid getting a sunburn I get sunburned by that intense Summer Sun… The sun is a whole unusual story when you live in a desert temperature, but recently I’ve been trying to stay inside as much as possible & putting on lots of sunscreen as soon as I go outside.
I tried to cover myself from head to toe to protect myself from the Sun & wear a big Sun protecting hat, then only within this past year if I’ve been able to save myself from the burning heat… Because it’s so boiling here I’m sure you can imagine the air conditioners are really pressing to have. I do not know a single building here that does not have an excellent quality air conditioner, nobody wants to rest around burning up & that heat! I have an excellent central air conditioner that regularly does a super fantastic task of protecting me from the heat outside, although I decided that I was going to get a window air conditioner & the central A/C system so I have a backup… Most people around here have a backup because even if you have your A/C system tuned up in service, occasionally the heat can be too much for even the best air conditioners. I do not plan to be without heat & so it’s fantastic to have a backup. The window A/C system is my plan b & if that fails & I have a plan c, which is many rest fans. Naturally plan a is my central A/C system, luckily it’s been doing superb & I have not had any problems with it. I hope to keep it that way.
