I adore a log cottage with custom built furniture
One of my number one things I like to do is to rent a cottage in the mountains, then preferably one that is secluded tucked on the banks of a creek or a lake; And respectfully, when I search for a log cottage, I regularly seek one with custom built furniture, and don’t get me wrong, I enjoy high end furniture plus traditional furniture, however there is something about a custom built wooden bed or wood furniture that just makes the location feel that more comfortable.
I love the rustic look, which usually invokes hot & inviting feelings.
And if there is a wood burning fireplace that is just icing on the cake, however you’d be surprised to know that my home is nothing like that, then there are some rustic elements like my oak kitchen table, however for the most part, my condo is decorated in a contemporary & new way. Perhaps that is why I love a log cottage with custom built furniture so much because it is completely unusual from my home. I also like natural wood furniture because it feels less generic & more authentic. Traditional furniture usually have no particular features & are usually mass produced. This means that you will have the same furniture as thousands of people across the nation. And while nothing is wrong with that because as long as the furniture is built well & it looks great, then they will continue to sell… Eventually, my plan is to invest in a log cottage of my own, & at that point, I will absolutely adorn it with nothing however custom built furniture.
