Trying to resolve HVAC with the HOA
And this resulted in the heating and A/C component being able to be seen from the street
Overreaction is rampant these days… And this is especially true when it comes to people who have just a smidgen of authority… Still, I’m entirely getting my fill of this automatic hostility and defensiveness that is pervading our culture! This has never been more true given the way the HOA has reacted to a minor heating and A/C issue at my home… First of all, I should say that I agree that having rules and regulations are beneficial when it comes to ensuring property value remains steady; I legitimately don’t really want to have my property value come down because somebody has more than four used cars on blocks in their yard. So I get the reason my associate and I need an HOA, but the problem inherently is that my associate and I supply just a little bit of authority to people who are power hungry. This is also clearly evidenced given their overreaction to a small heating and A/C situation at my house. The heating and A/C at my lake home is not supposed to be seen from the street. This is one of the HOA rules. It seems akin to a fairly arbitrary rule and I don’t entirely understand what the purpose is. I mean my associate and I all have heating and cooling units so I don’t know what the pressing secret is; however, I have complied with that rule by having a privacy hedge that screens the residential heating and A/C. But unluckily, my landscaping folks ended up trimming it way back as it was sort of unhealthy. And this resulted in the heating and A/C component being able to be seen from the street. I’m now doing my best to calm the waters with the local HOA until it can grow back.
