My Old Thermostat Is Finicky
My house came with a super ancient control unit, but i’ve never lived in a house with a control component that wasn’t electronic so when I moved in, I had to acweather conditions myself with the new control unit, and to be honest, I’ve been living here for 6 months plus I still don’t believe I’ve gotten used to the dial control unit.
It’s a brass, dial control unit, which means that everything has to be changed by hand.
The numbers on the dial are so tiny that it’s almost impossible to learn unless there’s a proper amount of light. This makes things challenging during the evening when the house is dark. For the past 6 months, I’ve felt like I’ve been trying to acweather conditions myself with the control component in order to get the most out of it. The dial is entirely finicky, which means that my house is never the comfortable temperature I want it to be. I feel like I’m consistently tweaking the settings in order to get the temperature of my house at a desirable temperature. Trying to keep up with all of this is difficult because I get the feeling that all the temperature variations are only hurting my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. I’m not sure if this is really a thing, even though I feel concerned about consistently changing the temperature of a house because it may be confusing for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system, however last week, I felt like I had my control component set at the optimal temperature for the first time ever. The temperature of my house was comfortable no matter what time of afternoon it was plus I haven’t touched the finicky control component since.
