The Air Quality Was Bad

He also said that the ductwork needed to be cleaned

Typically, I like to have my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system tested before I switch from my AC system to my heating system. This doesn’t consistently happen due to timing plus this year was no exception. I had busy my Heating, Ventilation & A/C tune up for the following week plus I hoped that the weather would remain moderate until then. Unfortunately, a random cold drop blew in before my Heating, Ventilation & A/C tune up plus my only chances were to freeze in my own house or turn on the heating system. I decided on the latter opening plus prayed that nothing would go wrong in the meantime; After running the heating system overnight, I noticed that the air quality was off. There was a musty smell plus I assumed it was because my heating system had sat unused during the entire Springtime plus summer. After another two afternoons passed, the air quality wasn’t getting better. I took note of the bad air quality plus promised myself that I’d bring it up to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional when he came to tune my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. I’m delighted I did because the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was able to diagnose a few problems. First, my air filter needed to be replaced. The blocked air filter was reducing air flow. He also said that the ductwork needed to be cleaned. They were filled with dirt plus debri, which was causing the air in my house to smell musty. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was particular that once the air filter was replaced plus the ductwork cleaned, the air quality would improve dramatically.
