Humid Buildings
I’m not sure why they didn’t just install a/cs in the buildings
I absolutely enjoy my job! I started toiling when I was sixteen to help supplement my family’s income after my father’s passing. I have been toiling for the same dealer for over twenty-five years & I couldn’t be happier to continue toiling with them until I retire. I primarily work in the warehouses on the property, but about two afternoons a week, I get to work in the office doing secretarial jobs; The warehouses that I work in are, for the most part, super tepid & humid. There is only air conditioning in one of the warehouses. It can be entirely strenuous toiling in a tepid warecabin all afternoon, but to me, the worst part is the the high humidity. It gets so humid in the the buildings that it makes it strenuous to breathe, then since multiple people have complained about the high humidity in the buildings, my director had a big dehumidifier installed in each one of the warehouses. I’m not sure why they didn’t just install a/cs in the buildings. I was told that the only reason we got the dehumidifiers was because the dealer got a good deal on them & was trying to compete with another dealer. It doesn’t matter to me the motive behind it; I am just so thankful to have some relief from the terribly humid afternoons in the warehouse, but my director gives me office work two afternoons a week entirely just to get me out of those warehouses & into a nice air conditioned office! Although toiling in the warehouses is just as tiresome as ever, the dehumidifiers surely did make it a tad more comfortable place to work.
