Furnace Issues
Sporadically, we have to learn the strenuous way to be thankful for our blessing, & that’s what happened to me.
A few weeks ago, my wife & I were lying in bed when we realized that the cabin was a little colder than usual.
It was pretty cold outside, so we just ignored it for a little while. We finished the cable show that we were watching & got ready for bed. By the time we got in bed, it was entirely freezing, so my wife checked the control unit. It was only forty-five degrees in our house! I couldn’t feel it; it felt cold, but not that cold! We went downstairs to check & see if the boiler was on, & unfortunately, it wasn’t. My wife tried to figure out what was wrong, although she eventually quit separate from hope. We called an Heating & Air Conditioning electrician early the next day. After hours of work, she basically told us that it was hopeless, & we needed a current boiler. We immediately began our search to try & get the best deal on a current boiler that we could while keeping in mind that we had to get one suddenly because it was the middle of December. We had a current boiler installed & heating the cabin two afternoons later, but I will never forget how cold it got in the cabin for the couple of afternoons & mornings that we didn’t have a toiling boiler! Ever since then, I have tried to take the time each afternoon to reflect on the tremendous blessings of life that I often overlook such as having a moderate house!
