Can’t get another dog
There are few things I love more in this world than animals. Dogs, in particular, are my very favorite species for all of the usual reasons; they’re so sweet and loyal, adorable and happy to see you. I love having a dog around, and my current buddy, Jake, is the best boy in the world. There’s only one problem with Jake; we can never have another dog as long as we own him. See, Jake is the sweetest animal alive so long as you’re a human being. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for other dogs. He’s highly aggressive towards other pups, and we can’t bring him anywhere without his tough guy personality rearing its ugly head. I guess that works out in the long run, though, because I also don’t think our current HVAC system could handle another dog in the house. The old heating and cooling system is already pretty overrun with dog hair thanks to Jake’s moderate seasonal shedding. For many years I never worried about performing routine maintenance on my home heating and cooling system, but that all changed once Jake came into the picture. Now we have a yearly maintenance contract with the local HVAC dealership, which includes two ventilation equipment inspections per year. They come into the house and exchange the air filters on our heating and cooling systems, removing tons of dog hair in the process. They also scrub our air ducts once a year to pull out any lingering fur from the ventilation track. By the time that poor HVAC technician walks out the door he’s entirely covered in hair.
