Looking into a smart control gear
The control device in our beach house is original to when our family moved in nearly twelve years ago… Over the years, I’ve made extensive improvements to the interior and exterior of the property, but i’ve invested in new windows, remodeled the kitchen and both washrooms, had a new roof put on and built a deck, and every single room has been painted.
I’ve bought new carpets, new furniture and updated all of the light and plumbing fixtures.
I’m not sure why it never occurred to me to update the control unit, however the old plastic dial does its task, but however, I’m not convinced that it provides an accurate reading. I am tired of needing to walk to the control device and manually make adjustments to temperature. I’ve started looking into the control units on the current market and I’m amazed by new technology. Today’s smart control units are capable of reading a seven-day schedule and making automatic adjustments, but some models feature geofencing that tracks the locations of family members’ smartphones and raises and lowers temperature according to their location. Smart control units provide energy tracking, energy saving tips and alerts when it’s time to schedule service. There are options that will even contact a certain Heating, Ventilation & A/C business if there’s a problem with the heating or cooling system. I would appreciate the ability to access features, adjust temperature and check up on the heating/cooling operation through an app on our cellphone. I’d no longer need to remember to adjust the control device before leaving for work in the morning, my family wouldn’t come beach house to an boiling or frosty house.
