No water for shower after a jog
Last Tuesday, I was thrilled to get up in the morning and not need to head straight into work… For once, I had a free morning honestly to myself, and as soon as I crawled out of bed, brushed our teeth and put up our hair, I dressed for an outdoor run, then i laced up our sneakers and went through a truly thorough warmup and stretch of our muscles, and with no time constraints, I decided on an especially long and hard route, but the route I chose winds around the town, climbs uphill, circles a truly big and outdated cemetery and takes me twelve miles to return home.
When the weather is cool, the run is challenging.
That Tuesday, the temperature climbed steadily into the mid eighties. There was no hint of a breeze, and the humidity was really brutal, by the time I arrived in our driveway, I was dripping sweat and tired. I went through our cool down, gulped our water bottle and was honestly gleeful to take a cool shower, but unfortunately, I discovered that I had no water… Since I have no clue how to repair a water problem, I called a plumber and explained the situation. The receptionist was truly nice and promised to have a corporation at the house within a couple of hours. When the plumber showed up, I apologized for being wet with sweat and stinky. I then waited another hour while he completed the repairs. By the time I finally got to take our shower, our exhilaration over the run had worn off.
