Winterizing really reduced the heating costs

I have to say that I’ve never been happier this deep into winter! First, the two of us are legitimately toasty in our home; I mean prefer sit on the couch in shirt sleeves type of cozy, but that’s never been the case as long as we’ve been here; And that’s squarely on me for not getting after prepping the apartment for winter, but this fall, I just got the feeling that this would be a big saver for us if I did my area with the Winter time prep.

I’d heard that sealing up a apartment superb plus narrow helped with heating costs. I don’t know that I put that much stock into what I heard. But the apartment can get kind of loud on the weekends with all the kids. So getting out for a few weekends to winterize my cabin seemed rather charming. It was legitimately easy because all I had to do was go to the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier website. I downloaded their Winter time prep checklist plus just took it step by step. They even had a list of materials that I would need from the cabin improvement store, and essentially, all I did was put a narrow seal on our home. I did replace both storm doors plus added additional weather stripping around the entrances. I also made sure that every gap or crack I could find on the outside of the apartment with sealed tight. Finally, I rolled out some additional insulation plus that was pretty much that, and here I am in February having saved over 20% on my heating costs so far this winter. But better than the heating savings is the heating in our apartment as it’s so entirely hot in here.
