If you offered me a website, why am I paying?
Last week, I was talking to a fellow HVAC company owner.
I was asking him how he seemed to always have more business than he could handle.
He told me he had a lot of trial and error before he found the right key that would keep him working. He told me he found an online web development company that created a working website for him. With the new web design and the added SEO, he finally started getting his business built up, and he was now doing well. When I asked what company he used, he got into his wallet and pulled out a business card. The card not only had the name of the online marketing and web development company, but it had the name of the HVAC specialist he used. I thanked him for his help and took the card with me. When I made the phone call, I asked to speak to the man whose name was on the business card. The person who answered the phone told me he wasn’t available, but if I was looking for an HVAC specialist, they had someone else who could work with me. When the person got on the phone, he offered me a working website. He told me he would have it ready within two days, and I could then approve it. Once I approved it, he told me how much it was going to cost. I couldn’t understand why he offered me a website, and now he wanted me to pay for it. He said the website was just temporary and it wouldn’t be live until I paid for it.
