A heat pump is all I need

This winter has been on the milder side as compared to the past winter.

That’s not to say that we haven’t gotten our fair share of cold temperatures.

We’ve also had some ice and snow but maybe a bit less than in recent years. Still, we need heating from pretty much mid November through to mid March or so. But the heat pump provides all we need in that vein. I’m just so glad to live in a region where all I need is a heat pump to enjoy great quality heating and air no matter the season. And four seasons is something that I enjoy about where we live. For sure, the winter and the summer seem to dominate but the Fall and the Spring are pretty wonderful. Those are the two instances where I don’t need much at all from the heat pump. However, now that we are moving toward March, it’s time for me to switch gears a bit when it comes to the residential HVAC. I’ll be calling the HVAC company this week. This is normally the time of year when I like to have the heat pump get the air conditioning tune up. Some may say that March is a bit early as there may be some more heating needed. But I just don’t want to be caught in a pinch when the air conditioning needs show up. And that’s sort of how it works around here. We have this lovely Spring and then bam! The heat and humidity ramp up and it’s time for air conditioning. I would hate to flip the thermostat over only to have an air conditioning fail from the heat pump.
