Air con system is dirty
I was looking out our window at the small a/c unit resting on our window ledge and I noticed something on it. I noticed that it was starting to look dirtier, so I decided that it was time to fix it. I turned it off and unplugged it, and then I took it out of the window spot. Sure enough, there was dirt as well as dust, and all kinds of things stuck on the inside of it, and outside it had some dirt on it too. This is what happens when you leave your window air con unit in the window for almost two years straight. I do not really use our central air con plan, and I only use our window air con unit now, and because of this I have our window unit running almost nonstop. As you can imagine this can cause our window system to get quite dirty, and so it needs to be cleaned regularly. When I took it out of the window, I brought it to the kitchen and then I took a damp rag and started wiping down the outside. After that, I opened the entire unit up and I took a can of air spray and started blasting all the dust and dirt from the inside. I wasn’t even done cleaning it yet, but it was already looking so much better. After I had blown out the grime and dirt from the inside, I took a lightly damp rag and wiped down the inside of the window a/c system. I thoroughly dried it, and then I left it out to dry for a little bit longer. Once I was finished, I put it back in the window spot and let it continue to do its work of keeping our lake house nice and cold.
