Cooling down in the hot summer
Keeping cool in the summer usually is not an issue for me, however this summertime was a bit different.
We’ve had heat waves that have come through this year like I’ve never seen before in my life.
I do not know why it’s so crazy hot now, and it’s really miserable hot out there. It’s hard to have any kind of fun when you are so darn hot that you can’t even go out. I feel like the moment that I dare step out and go into the sunshine, my skin sets itself on fire. If I have to be outside, I am soon sent running for the shade. So what I have been doing this summer season is not going outside at all, as it’s just too brutally hot, and I have not been going out unless it’s totally necessary. I have been taking refuge from the heat inside our nice home and enjoying the cold air conditioning that has been keeping the heat at bay. Thankfully, despite the intense heat waves that we’ve had coming through, our air con has been relatively unaffected by them. I like to believe that it’s because I’ve had it taken care of and maintained all these months. I tried my best to make sure that it was ready to handle the hot weather that nature was ready to hit me with, and so far it’s been pretty good. I was lying on our chair directly underneath the air duct with the air conditioner on full tilt, because going outside might be a toasty and miserable experience, so staying inside and enjoying the air con is like nothing else. It’s fresh and relaxing, and I am not going anywhere until it cools down a bit more.
