The SEER should be over seventeen, but the higher you go, the more energy efficient the AC unit will be. My husband laughed and said the higher the SEER, means the higher the priced on the AC unit. My husband laughed again when the HVAC tech smiled, and asked him to give him a price and we would give them a call. I knew we would buy the energy efficient AC unit from this young man, but my husband always took his time when spending money.
