We got married after he became an HVAC technician
My husband and I got married after he became an HVAC technician many years ago.
I was having issues with my electric furnace at my house, and he just happened to be the HVAC technician on call that day. He showed up at my house in the heating and cooling company’s van. When I saw him get out of the truck, I knew he was the one for me. I don’t really believe in love at first sight, but with him that is exactly what happened. As they say, the rest is history. It was funny because he got my furnace back up and running in no time at all but then he ended up staying at my house for hours that day. Of course, he did not bill me for all of the time that he was there. We just ended up having coffee and talking in my kitchen for a long time. We had a whole lot in common and we decided that we were going to go out for dinner that weekend. It’s funny how something as simple as a broken furnace ends up changing the course of your life like that. If you had asked me years ago what kind of man I was going to marry, then I probably would have said that I wanted to marry a teacher or a preacher or maybe a lawyer. However, I would never have said that I wanted to marry an HVAC technician! That was just not ever something that was within the realm of possibility in my mind. However, I would never change it. We have been very happy together for years.
