Before winter last year, we got a new furnace
We got a new furnace for our house before winter started last year. It’s a really good thing that we did. Looking back on it now, I guess I probably should have known that we were going to have a really bad winter this year. Last year, we had a really mild winter and I knew that there was no way that it was going to last for another whole year. We had a lot of ice and snow throughout the winter and the temperature was ridiculously cold for weeks at a time. I know that it would have been a big issue for us if we had not gotten the new furnace in time. Our old furnace had been in our house for literally years. We have been living in the house for about ten years now and the furnace was here when we first moved in. I have no idea how old the furnace was before we got a new one, but I’m pretty sure that it was at least 20 years old. That’s really cutting it close when it comes to the lifespan of a heating system. I read a lot about different heating systems last year and I finally figured out what I wanted to get when we changed ours out for a new one. I ended up special ordering a new high efficiency heating and cooling system for our house. The HVAC company that I ordered it from gave us a really good deal because we just happened to order it at the right time. I guess it was the week that they needed to clear out some of their extra stock and I just got lucky.
