The HVAC machine was really old

Wow.

As a heating and air conditioning specialist, I have seen my fair share of old heaters and A/C devices.

There are quite a few people that are just determined to keep repairing the old central cooling device, in hopes that it will work longer. This usually doesn’t work, because old air conditioning devices eventually give out. Not only that, but the efficiency also drops fast. So I usually recommend getting rid of the old HVAC machine and getting a new one. A lot of people are hesitant to do that, just because of the high cost. That and some people are suspicious that I am just here to promote a new HVAC installation, despite what they actually need. But to be honest, I really couldn’t care less. I don’t care what you do with your life, and sure, I would prefer for you to have efficient cooling comfort, but what you chose doesn’t affect me. Anyways, when I went over to this customer’s home, she had the oldest HVAC device I had ever seen. This heater and A/C system was around 40 years old! 40 years old! Can you believe that? I was honestly amazed that the machine was still working, and it was, but just not efficiently. Thankfully, she was ready to get rid of it. It was almost sad to see it go, but I was happy to help her choose her new heating and A/C device for her home. I got to tell all of my HVAC coworkers about it the next day, out of all of them, I had seen the oldest machine.
