What is the lifespan of a sofa?
I’ve had my sofas for almost 12 years now, and I absolutely love them.
They’re dark brown, partial leather couches that are elegant as well as so comfortable.
I also have an oversized leather chair that is my favorite piece of furniture in my house. The oversized leather chair wasn’t part of the sofa set, but it matched it so perfectly that I decided that I had to have it as well. At the time I purchased the living room sofas and chair, I was at the beginning of my career. In fact, aside from my car, the sofas and chair were the first major purchase that I made in my life after I was on the road to financial security. Well, over the past 10 or so years, the oversized leather chair has certainly lost its luster. Unfortunately, I used it so much that the leather has cracks in it. Over the years, I tried to repair the sofa by using leather repair products that I found on the internet. A couple of them worked a bit, but most of them were a disaster. I should’ve contacted a reupholstering service and had them perform the work. But, I didn’t, and now the chair is beyond repair. This means I will need to get rid of it soon. Fortunately, my sofas are still in great condition. There is little wear and tear, and the leather portion has no cracks or show much sign of deterioration. Typically, sofas last for 7 to 20 years and with good care, I believe I will have my sofas for another 10 years. I just hope that I can find another oversized leather chair that matches my sofas.
