Signing up for all sorts of group fitness classes
I am a fan of group fitness classes.
As a gym member, I have access to a wide variety of options.
I sign up for every group class that accommodates my schedule. I sometimes get up extra early to take a class prior to heading into work. There are times when I can participate in a class right after work. I am also willing to devote time on my weekends. Having an instructor provide guidance helps to motivate and push me further than I would go on my own. I get the chance to try new things, target different types of workouts and feel good about the accomplishment. I don’t need to worry about ways to burn calories, build strength, increase stamina or improve flexibility. There is no stress over figuring out how to utilize different machines or if my training session was sufficient. So far, I’ve enjoyed every fitness class that I’ve completed. Spin classes were especially strenuous, but I always felt fantastic at the conclusion. Those sessions were held in the morning and provided a boost of energy and productivity for the rest of the day. I took yoga classes in the evenings. I was able to stop at the gym on my way home from work. I found yoga to be more challenging than expected but also a wonderful stress-reliever. I gained quite a bit of core strength and balance from it. I chose a circuit training session on the weekends that moved between high-intensity aerobics such as jumping rope or running on the treadmill and strength training. It was a great way to learn how to properly use different machines and weight-lifting equipment.
