I didn’t think I was asking too much when I asked my brother for a little interior design help.
He was really good in that area, and I saw what he did to his own home.
His wife was always telling everyone what an amazing job he did with the interior design. She was forever taking pictures of the house and sending them to everyone in the family. I wasn’t interested in looking through a hundred pictures of each room. Just one picture was enough to make me realize my brother was an interior design genius. I had said something to my sister-in-law and ended up with a lecture on how busy my brother was. He didn’t have time to take on my projects when he could be taking on the interior design projects of paying customers. I decided to go to my brother’s office and talk to him. Surprisingly, the office was empty, but for my brother. I showed him pictures of my new home, and asked if he could give me a little interior design help. I didn’t want him to do any of the work. I just wanted a nudge in the right direction. He ruffled my hair like I was a still a little girl and asked why I hadn’t asked before. Before I could say anything, he shook his head rolled his eyes. He told me not to answer that dumb question. I took him to the new house and he had a lot of interior design help for me. He even offered to do the job as a housewarming gift as long as I didn’t tell his wife.
