Air conditioning at a crime scene

On a humid weekday morning, there was a knock at the Smiths front door. They had been out of the country for several weeks and had just arrived home late last night. The last thing they wanted to deal with was the homicide department this morning. They were informed by two detectives that there had been a body found in the lake in front of their home. The weather was extremely hot and humid today, and they needed a way to preserve the body quickly. They decided the best way to do this would be to bring in an air conditioned unit for the preservation. In the wee hours of the morning in this quiet neighborhood, people would be quick to question the presence of an air conditioned police unit. The air conditioned police unit was located in an old trailer. Equipped with all of the necessary equipment needed to process a crime scene, they were able to determine the cause of death quickly. The man had been kayaking and must have capsized and hit his head. On the morning of his death, nobody was around to see the accident and he died from a head injury followed by drowning. Without hesitation, the Smith family offered their home to the police officers working their home. The police officers thanked the family for the offer, but they knew that they would have what the needed with their team of experts and their air conditioned crime scene truck. The crime scene was gruesome, but the air conditioned truck was a good way to preserve the body on a hot day.
