An interesting conversation with the pastor while we delivered quality AC service
Last week, I had an exciting conversation with the local church’s pastor.
He called the HVAC business requesting a cooling technician to run repairs on the church’s climate control unit.
After collecting more information about the cooling system, we scheduled the quality AC service and maintenance for Saturday afternoon. The HVAC installation of the church’s system was done ten years ago, and the pastor had done an excellent job keeping up with the annual tune-ups and timely repairs. I got my team, and we headed to the church. The choir practiced for the following day’s service, and the pastor was in his office. The maintenance person showed us the electric heat pump, and we started to work on it. It was part of a third-generation system, but its cooling technology worked optimally. We ordered new cooling equipment from the cooling corporation to replace the worn-out components. As the HVAC contractor worked on the unit and the thermostat to help with indoor comfort, the pastor came by to greet and appreciate us. He was a pleasant man, and we got to talking. He was telling me about the church, and I told him about my job as a cooling specialist. We discussed this subject until my team fixed the HVAC equipment. During our conversation, the pastor never got angry or offended but seemed interested in hearing my view of the deity. He was pleased by how fast and efficient we were and promised to sign the annual contract with the local service provider. We would handle the repairs and tune-up of the church’s system for the following year.
