Called heating and cooling supplier over batteries

Sometimes I amaze myself with how dumb I am. Aren’t I supposed to be smart? I am a peer-reviewed scientist and teach school courses, but I make a lot of poor mistakes throughout our life, like any person! One thing I get wrong is running our heating, cooling, and air quality control system. I try to be responsible and efficient while using our indoor air quality control equipment, but I forget to adjust our temperature control program before I go out of town. Then our AC equipment or heating plan is running for no reason. Changing the air filters is also something I tend to neglect. This puts wear and tear on the HVAC system, decreasing efficiency, and I can forget to change the batteries in the temperature control. This can result in calling out the heating, cooling, and air quality control repair shop for no reason. I say this because last year I thought our heating and cooling system was broken. I couldn’t get either heating and cooling components to respond to the temperature control fiddling. When the professional heating and cooling repair worker arrived, he promptly discovered that our temperature control needed a current AA battery. Otherwise, the heating and AC were fine. “Why didn’t you notice the blank temperature control screen?” he asked. That was a moment when I did not want to admit, I’m supposed to be smart.
