Ductless heat pumps help me slow down

It’s pretty much inevitable.

All of us, who are fortunate to reach our 70s, have to adjust to the effects of aging.

I’m certainly not immune to that. But fortunately, I took fairly good care of my body once I hit about 40. Actually, before I retired at 66, I was standing for at least half the day while inside the zone controlled HVAC of my office. I ate well, got my exercise and learned how to balance stress with other interests and plenty of rest. So when I retired, I had plenty in the tank to enjoy my passion for outdoor activities. I love the outdoors so much that I sort of wish I had chosen a field where I didn’t have to work inside commercial HVAC. So when I hung it up, we upgrade the HVAC on the family home, sold it and moved south. And from there, I was released in a way where I was outside almost all the time. Of course, where we live, you have to find some cooling comfort during the peak heating hours of the day. But even that only lasts about four or five months. The rest of the time, I was doing something outdoors. But I’m 79 now and have really noticed that I’m slowing down a whole lot more. Yet, that hasn’t diminished my appetite for the outdoors. This summer, I’m making a bit of a compromise when it comes to being outside. Now that I’m slowing down, I had the HVAC company install a ductless heat pump in the sunroom. So I’ll be able to at least feel like I’m outside all the time but still have the air conditioning when the temperatures skyrocket.
