Finally got HVAC service in the nick of time
The winter season was arriving rather slowly last year, so I hardly even thought about the heating system at all.
Every so often things just happen to work out in the best way possible, and I’m left wondering what guardian angel was sitting on my shoulder that day. For instance, I’ll head out to a busy destination with great trepidation about finding a parking spot, only to pull up right as someone exits a primo parking location and I get the VIP treatment as I walk into the restaurant. Or maybe I’ll remember to accomplish an important but easily overlooked task right as the crucial moment arrives, and luckily I find myself on the favorable end of what could have been a total disaster. One great example of this would be getting my furnace fully serviced last November. See, the heating and cooling system in this house is new to us and we never established a schedule for having the HVAC components professionally maintained yet. The winter season was arriving rather slowly last year, so I hardly even thought about the heating system at all. One day, it dawned on me out of the blue that we would probably need to have the furnace and ductwork checked out before we’d be able to use the heating implements for winter time, and I just so happened to see an ad for a local HVAC dealership that was running a great deal on routine maintenance packages. On a whim, I hired them for servicing our old forced air furnace, and it’s a good thing I did, because no more than two days later the temperature plummeted below freezing. We were able to safely operate our heater in the nick of time.
