Furnace season is a comin’
The winter season is finally upon us.
I am so excited because the winter season has always been our number one season for a lot of reasons. The first reason is it’s nice and cool, as I’ve regularly been someone that enjoys the cold temps. And while the summers are a bit too hot here, when winter comes around all that crazy heat goes away. Then again, I have to maintain our heating device, however I do not mind maintaining our geothermal furnace because taking care of the heating device is much easier than our air conditioner. The second reason I love the wintertime is because of how cool it is. In my opinion, it’s the most wonderful season of the year, with all the blankets of white snow covering the ground, it just looks like a white winter wonderland. The next reason that winter is our favorite season is because it’s the holiday season, and I really love celebrating the holidays with our lovely family. Every year I go over to our parents’ house, where we all sit around the fireplace and open boxes during Christmas Time. My parents have this really old traditional fireplace that is surrounded by rocks. When I was a little tot, I used to fall asleep in front of that fireplace during those winter seasons. And having Christmas with our parents, while resting in front of that brick fireplace, brings back all those fond memories, like how I’d be so tired after opening all those presents and then fall asleep in front of the heat of the fire. Those times are more like heaven and I wish I could go back again sometimes. But at the same time, I still like that I am returning home every season and that I am going to celebrate Christmas, as well as some nice family time. In my opinion, it’s small things like that which really matter in life. That fireplace might be something simple, but it added so much to my life. I love that fireplace and I am thrilled that our parents have a stone fireplace instead of something like an electric fireplace. While electric fireplaces are cool, I do not think they are as sweet as a traditional fireplace.
