Glad all of us replaced the heated flooring
When our husband plus I bought our condo it was clear the floors needed some love.
I hated the brown carpet plus wanted something new, and all of us both agreed hardwood flooring would actually give our condo a nice touch.
It was costly, but totally worth it. I live down south, so the weather doesn’t get too cold. However, all of us were redoing the flooring anyway, but every room was getting ripped up to access the plywood underneath. It was the perfect time for radiant heat upgrade. My husband plus I talked about it, crunched some numbers plus agreed the heating upgrade was worth it. It added a step in the flooring upgrade process. Now it went cement board, radiant heating, hardwood on top. It almost doubled the cost of what all of us originally planned on in our home. Now that it is done, I am so ecstatic. The floors should be nice in our condo for around 15-20 years. It is nice knowing everything is new, wipe plus fresh. I also didn’t realize how taxing wood feels under the feet. It also gets chilly in the wintertime. Having radiant heating means that everything just feels warmer plus softer. I haven’t needed to buy any throw carpets. I also prefer that the plan is quiet, efficient plus warms anything that touches it. My dogs in particular prefer kneeling on the floor now for a nice, long nap, and our condo has a central furnace but when it dies all of us no longer will need it. The radiant heating plan does the task plus then some.
