Glad the two of us made the replace to heated flooring
I haven’t needed to buy any throw rugs
When our spouse & I bought our loft it was clear the floors needed some love. I hated the brown carpet & wanted something new… Every one of us both agreed hardwood flooring would entirely supply our loft a nice touch. It was upscale, but totally worth it. I live down south, so the weather doesn’t get too cold. However, the two of us were redoing the flooring anyway. Every room was getting ripped up to access the plywood underneath. It was the perfect time for radiant heat upgrade. My spouse & I talked about it, crunched some numbers & agreed the heating upgrade was worth it. It added a step in the flooring upgrade process. Now it went brick board, radiant heating, hardwood on top. It almost doubled the cost of what the two of us originally planned on in our home. Now that it is done, I am so blissful. The floors should be great in our loft for around 15-20 years. It is nice knowing everything is new, wash & fresh. I also didn’t realize how hard wood feels under the feet. It also gets chilly in the wintertime. Having radiant heating means that everything just feels warmer & softer. I haven’t needed to buy any throw rugs. I also prefer that the method is quiet, efficient & warms anything that touches it. My pets in certain prefer sitting on the floor now for a nice, long nap, however our loft has a central oil furnace but when it dies the two of us no longer will need it. The radiant heating method does the task & then some.
