Her home has been without A/C for about a week
Lillian’s business had a conference recently.
They end up flying a few states over to a major town that hosts this conference.
This is a yearly event, but it was a honestly welcome relief this time around. Her home has been without an A/C for about a week. Lillian is hoping she will be able to pay whatever maintenance fees are required to get it back up and running when she returns from this conference. In the meantime, she will finally be able to enjoy some wonderful A/C within her hotel room. She had spent the last few days in her own apartment quite covered in sweat and uncomfortable with the A/C completely off. Lillian tried to use fans for relief, but of course, it’s not quite the same as having an A/C going. That’s why she was so cheerful to discover that her hotel room’s A/C made the room so comfortable. Another enjoyable thing is that Lillian is the only one among her co-workers that managed to get a room for herself. There was some sort of mix up with the booking of rooms that allowed for this, and she could not be happier. Lillian does not know what the temperature preferences of her coworkers are, but she is so cheerful that she would not have to deal with any other opinion but her own when it came to what to set the control component to. Lillian decided to drop the temperature to a breezy 65° that night, and she slept like an absolute rock.
