High heating costs annoy me so much
The last few months the heating bills have been getting higher.
- I understand we are in the middle of winter and the temperature control needs to be turned on more often but what is the saying, money doesn’t grow on trees? Well, at least that is what my folks used to say all the time to my siblings and I growing up.
These days I have a 14 year child and he is home schooled. My partner and I are trying to teach him several things and this is hard at times. My partner mainly does all the teaching because I have a business to run so at times when I get home she is not happy and needs a break from our son. As I said the last few months it’s been freezing due to winter. Now our child has been turning the dial on the temperature control up so the furnace has been always running to keep the house warmer than we would like. We are trying to teach him the cause and effect of using too much heat and how it affects our bills. It is not sinking in and I think I am going to have to invest in a smart temperature control soon. It’s not like a here and there kind of messing with the temperature control and cranking up the heater, it’s an everyday habit. Unfortunately, this is not the best for us because we do not like looking at the high gas bill due to the temperature control being turned way too high. I wonder how much one costs and hopefully, it’s self-explanatory for us to install or we’ll be calling the Heating and A/C tech for help.
