Humid Buildings
I actually care about my task! I started laboring when I was sixteen to help supplement my family’s income after my father’s passing, then i have been laboring for the same company for over twenty-five years plus I couldn’t be happier to continue laboring with them until I retire.
I primarily toil in the warehouses on the property, however about two days a week, I get to toil in the office doing secretarial tasks, however the warehouses that I toil in are, for the most part, super hot plus humid.
There is only a/c in one of the warehouses. It can be absolutely tough laboring in a hot warehouse all morning, however to me, the worst part is the the high humidity. It gets so humid in the the buildings that it makes it strenuous to breathe! Since numerous people have complained about the high humidity in the buildings, my manager had a giant dehumidifier installed in each one of the warehouses. I’m not sure why they didn’t just install A/Cs in the buildings. I was told that the only reason my friend and I got the dehumidifiers was because the company got a great deal on them plus was trying to compete with another company. It doesn’t matter to me the motive behind it; I am just so thankful to have some relief from the terribly humid days in the warehouse… My employer gives me office toil two days a week absolutely just to get me out of those warehouses plus into a nice air conditioned office, and although laboring in the warehouses is just as tiresome as ever, the dehumidifiers surely did make it a tad more comfortable place to work.
