HVAC repairs are for HVAC professionals
I mentioned this to my handyman to see if he would take a look.
I don’t mind doing stuff around the house. It’s just that I’m always so busy. For one, I spend more than 50 hours stuck inside the commercial HVAC of work. And those are not easy hours. My work comes with a lot of stress and maximum effort. This is not a seasonal situation either. It’s like that day in and day out. Thankfully, I really like what I do for a living and that helps when it comes to the stress. Still that’s a lot of hours to stay in the zone controlled HVAC of a pressure cooker office. I tend to try to relax when I’m at home. My wife is pretty much the same way and so we tend to kind of lean on service folks to help us out. We have a maid service that comes three times a week and we also get all of our groceries delivered. On top of that, we have a handyman that does home projects or fixes stuff I just haven’t gotten to. It’s really fortunate that we have the income where help is even an option. But I found out recently that my handyman knows his limitations. I came home from work to find the air conditioning not feeling like it was putting out the amount of cooling it normally did. It was early this past fall so I thought maybe that was it. I mentioned this to my handyman to see if he would take a look. That’s when I got a lesson in what it is to be an HVAC professional. He was pretty clear that in no uncertain terms, only HVAC technicians should work on HVAC equipment. Thankfully, we have a great HVAC company and they sent out an HVAC professional who made quick work of a pretty straightforward HVAC repair.
