I had to wait ten minutes in the warmth

Graduation services were supposed to be held inside the building this year, but for the past ten years, graduation services have been held indoors… It was an issue that started due to rain, however people enjoyed being inside instead of outside because of the heat and humidity, then graduation services held in the auditorium are weather conditions controlled with air conditioner, as the head custodial engineer, it is my responsibility to make sure the heating and A/C plan constantly works well, however this can often be a problem while in the summer time weeks. The heating and A/C plan is about 50 years old. I’ve fixed a lot of complications throughout the years, however it undoubtedly is time for the university board to make updates. This year while in the graduation exercise, we did not have any A/C at all. It really would have been cooler to hold the exercises outside, however the auditorium was already decorated and things were set up. The two of us opened up the doors, however it was still incredibly hot, then several parents complained about the cooling system and some people wanted to postpone graduation services. It would have been a lot more toil to move the whole event to a weird day. The university went through with the services, despite many objections and complaints… Many parents opted to take their kids home, however we still had over 200 seniors walk up to the phase to get their diploma. It was a long and boiling afternoon, however most of the parents and students didn’t seem frustrated after seeing their kids graduate. The university did not service the A/C complications until a month before the new university year.
