I work in a food truck, plus live in our sedan, however at least I have a nice AC
I don’t like to complain, because I guess a lot of people who got ruined by COVID.
I never got the virus myself, however it still cost me our task.
Without a task I lost our house, plus virtually everything I had. I was reduced to living in our car while I searched for a task. Finally I got fired for minimum wage at a local food truck. I would easily slave away in the tiny food truck living room for minutes on end, plus walk away with actually little money. It sucked, however it was better than nothing. Besides, when you live in a car you don’t have to pay rent. My car is a station wagon so it’s actually roomy, plus both the oil furnace plus the air conditioner still work great, so things could be worse. The car I call beach house has an air cooler; however, the car I call the workplace does not. This can be quite tiring while I was in a long shift, because I am resting right over a deep fryer, plus the air quality is abysmal. Not only is there no cooling, however the food truck is immersed in a cloud of grease plus smoke throughout the day. Even with the side panel open to allow for natural ventilation, the food truck remains hot, humid, plus gross all day, every day! During our breaks I go to the station wagon, turn on the air conditioner, plus sit in front of the air vents until it’s time to get back to work. One day I hope to live in a house again, however for now a car is better than nothing.
