I’m almost ready to start doing HVAC work on my own
I’m almost ready to start doing HVAC work on my own now, finally! It has been a long time coming, though.
I have been going out on HVAC installation and repair calls for the past few months with the rest of the HVAC team at my new job. They don’t trust me to go out on my own yet, and I can’t say that I really blame them. They have a very strenuous type of training program that they put everyone through before they let them go out to work on their own. I guess they have a really good reputation around here where our business is and they don’t want to blow it by letting some random person who is new at the job go out and make a bunch of mistakes. it really makes sense the way that they do things. That’s one of the reasons that I wanted to work at this particular HVAC company. I think that they really know what they’re doing. Once I finally get through all of this training, I think that I am really going to like working here at this job. I like all of the other HVAC technicians on the team, and the owner of the company is also really nice. I have done two air conditioning installations, two heating system installations, And now I am working on a heat pump installation. The older guy on my team is watching me like a hawk! I just hope that I don’t make any mistakes because if I do then I have to do another one all by myself while he watches.
