Mom to rule the thermostat

I’m a new dad and it’s amazing.

This winter was so different than any other winter ever.

I mean, the heat pump was still pretty quiet because we live far enough south that we don’t need that much in the way of heating. But just having this new, little soul sharing the quality heating and air of our home is amazing. And it’s different. Our daughter was born in mid September. When we brought her home to the central air conditioning for the first time, it changed everything. I’m so dialed into her needs as well as the needs of my wife initially. She bounced back from the pregnancy pretty quickly but it was fun looking after both of my girls for a month or so. In fact, my wife had a really tough time when it came to carrying our daughter. For one, we got pregnant at just the wrong time according to our plan. We so didn’t want her to have to deal with the heat and humidity of this region during the summer. But that’s what happened. Thankfully, we have the latest in residential HVAC and HVAC technology. The heat pump provides all the cooling we need in this home. And this past summer, while my wife was at the end of her term, we needed all that cooling. The doctor ended up putting my wife on bed rest for almost the entirety of her third trimester. She was pretty miserable and I hated having to be inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office all day. But between her mom and the smart thermostat, she was pretty comfortable. My wife could use the app on her phone to control the smart thermostat from the bed in order to get all the cooling comfort she required.
