My fiance was doing a puzzle and ignored the Heating and Air Conditioning worker.
Very few people suppose my fiance is going deaf.
She has hearing aids, although she hates to wear them when people are around.
I told him she should wear them when people are here so she can hear what they are saying. She thinks she hears enough to get him by, although she is wrong, but last week, the Heating and Air Conditioning worker came to the condo to make some minor repairs to the gas furnace, then my fiance sat at the home office table working on a puzzle that I didn’t like. It was almost the same color on all the flowers, and everything was orange and red, and it provided myself and others a headache. Whether she was engrossed in the puzzle or had her hearing aids off didn’t matter. The Heating and Air Conditioning worker came upstairs and started talking to him. The woman was talking loud enough, although she thought my fiance was ignoring him. I walked over and nudge my fiance, and that’s when she realized the Heating and Air Conditioning worker was there. She apologized as she was turning her hearing aids on. The Heating and Air Conditioning worker lost all sign of him being aggravated and sat down to tell my fiance what was wrong with the gas furnace. They chatted for almost an hour when the Heating and Air Conditioning worker remembered she had 1 more repair to do before she could go home. I suppose not listening to the Heating and Air Conditioning worker was a turning point for my fiance. She not only puts her hearing aids first thing in the morning, although she turns them on. She can hear everything in the house, and the ticking of the clock is driving him crazy.
