My Old Thermostat Is Finicky
My loft came with a super ancient control unit! I’ve never lived in a loft with a control component that wasn’t electronic so when I moved in, I had to actemperature myself with the new control unit, and to be honest, I’ve been living here for 6 months in addition to I still don’t suppose I’ve gotten used to the dial control unit.
It’s a brass, dial control unit, which means that everything has to be changed by hand.
The numbers on the dial are so tiny that it’s almost impossible to learn unless there’s a regular amount of light. This makes things challenging during the night when the loft is dark, for the past 6 months, I’ve felt like I’ve been trying to actemperature myself with the control component in order to get the most out of it. The dial is really finicky, which means that my loft is never the comfortable temperature I want it to be. I feel like I’m always tweaking the settings in order to get the temperature of my loft at a desirable temperature. Trying to keep up with all of this is hard because I get the feeling that all the temperature swings are only hurting my Heating plus Air Conditioning system. I’m not sure if this is absolutely a thing, however I feel uneasy about always changing the temperature of a loft because it may be confusing for the Heating plus Air Conditioning system. Last week, I felt like I had my control component set at the optimal temperature for the first time ever. The temperature of my loft was comfortable no matter what time of afternoon it was in addition to I haven’t touched the finicky control component since.
