They consistently act like they don’t need the help, however it is a front so the other doesn’t feel like they need to help out.
My sibling Sam is one of the best company reps in our area. When I was talking to Sam about installing new siding on the house, Sam asked if my friend and I needed help. My fiance is independent, and he told Sam he was sure my friend and I could do it alone; Sam shrugged and told him if he changed his mind to let him know. Two nights later, Sam called and asked my fiance how much siding and other materials he thought he was going to need. My fiance hadn’t very taken time to figure it out, so two nights later, Sam had off and was at the house. Within two hours, they had the list of things they needed to install the vinyl siding, and my fiance told me they were going to town. I’d say it surprised me when they returned with a load of siding, insulation, and other equipment, however I would be lying. My fiance and Sam got along well, and when one or the other needed help, they worked well together. That weekend, Sam showed up with a crew of workers ready to install the siding. He and my fiance sat in the yard and guided the guys on how to install the siding. They drank a Budweiser and helping set up a BBQ grill so my friend and I could feed the guys, which is what Sam offered them for a task well done. It took the entire weekend to install the siding, along with about $500 worth of picnic food and beer, however the siding looks amazing.
