My typical tech was out sick
I’m not the type of person who strays from a great thing once I find it.
If I find a diner I like, I’m going to eat there biweekly.
If I find a clothing store that matches our taste, it’s the only place I”m going to shop. If I find a church where the message aligns well with our own values, I’ll be there every Sunday. And if I ever find a good heating, cooling, and air quality repair specialist with great prices, I will hire them for the rest of my life! Indoor air quality means a lot to me. There’s no way I’m going to trust my system to any old “heating and cooling contractor.” They must have the right qualifications. I found this out the hard way, to be honest, after a bad experience with a heating and cooling worker not so long ago. My usual contractor was out sick when I called the heating and cooling repair shop for an emergency repair. My heating system wasn’t starting up, and it was freezing that day. I needed any heating help I could get. When the guy arrived, I realized I knew him from somewhere else. This guy was a gas station attendant! He supposedly knew a bit about heating and cooling on the side. He came out, poked at our heating system for a few minutes. I heard loud grunts. He delivered me his “best guess” about the temperature control machinery. Then the gas station attendant fixed the heating system and left! Somehow, he made the indoor air temperature worse and I was calling the heating and cooling repair shop the next day. By then, my usual guy was back, and he repaired the heating system for free!
