No water for me after a run
Last Sunday, I was glad to get up in the day & not need to head straight into work, then for once, I had a free day really to myself, but as soon as I crawled out of bed, brushed our teeth & put up our hair, I dressed for an outdoor run! I laced up our sneakers & went through a actually thorough warmup & stretch of our muscles, but with no time constraints, I decided on an especially long & difficult route, however the route I chose winds around the town, climbs uphill, circles a actually big & aged cemetery & takes me twelve miles to return home.
When the weather is cool, the run is challenging.
That Sunday, the temperature climbed steadily into the mid eighties. There was no hint of a breeze, & the humidity was really brutal! By the time I arrived in our driveway, I was dripping sweat & exhausted. I went through our cool down, gulped our water bottle & was really happy to take a cool shower, but unfortunately, I discovered that I had no water. Since I have no clue how to repair a water problem, I called a plumber & explained the situation. The receptionist was actually nice & promised to have a serviceman at the cabin within a couple of hours. When the plumber showed up, I apologized for being wet with sweat & odory. I then waited another hour while he completed the repairs. By the time I finally got to take our shower, our exhilaration over the run had worn off.
