Pay attention to HVAC warranty
That would have been really good information when I came home to a cold house several weeks ago
I really blew it and my wife is so heated right now. Honestly though, I can’t blame her one bit. What I did was so stupid on so many levels. And it cost us the remainder of the warranty on our HVAC equipment. Quality heating and air are a big deal to us. And so we were deeply into the replacement process when it came to getting new residential HVAC. We had saved up a good deal of money because we really wanted the latest in residential HVAC along with plenty of HVAC technology. Indeed, the HVAC upgrade was a really big investment on our part. Of course, I was super excited about getting my hands on all that HVAC technology. So much so that I didn’t really even pay attention to the HVAC warranty. The HVAC professional had given us some final instructions before we were left on our own with the new HVAC unit. And one of those directions was to read and fully understand the warranty. I did not do that. The other direction was to be sure that we registered the HVAC warranty with the factory within 60 days. I did not do that either. Luckily, my wife paid attention and got that done the very next day. But had I read the HVAC warranty I would have understood that only HVAC professionals could attempt a repair. That would have been really good information when I came home to a cold house several weeks ago. I tried to fool around with the HVAC equipment to see if I could get it running and that ended up costing me the rest of the HVAC warranty coverage on our residential HVAC. No wonder my wife is still so mad at me.
