Replacing my boiler after owning it for over 20 years
I have been living in my cabin for quite some time now.
I feel it has been almost 30 years that I have been living in my home. It is still a fairly young house. The component however is not so young. Last year I had to replace my boiler. I had no idea it needed to even be replaced. I had never had any issue with it. It never broke down on me and I always gained tune ups. In no way was I ready to feel that the boiler needed to be replaced. I observed in my cabin that my family room was awfully warm. It was as moderate as I was keeping the temperature control probably. When I would transition into the family room, I observed it get cooler however then parts of the family room would feel a bit warmer. I felt warmer by the far corner near the garbage and my fridge. The hallway in my cabin seemed like it was chilly and warm, chilly and then warm. It was like a never ending cycle. Never did my cabin feel like it was all one perfect temperature. Not only did I notice that about my house, even though I also observed that my energy costs were higher than they had been before. I had never paid such high energy costs. This is when I figured I must call an Heating and A/C company near to me. They explained that this is a familiar occurrence, and furnaces usually only last about 15 years. If you still have a boiler after that, it means you took good care of it. Mine was well over that age though. It was just starting to get seasoned and I needed to receive a current one.
