Small Houses & High Humidity

I can’t tell you how much I absolutely enjoy cooking! When I was a child, I cooked alongside my mother.

  • There were seven teenagers in the family & six of them were boys, so there constantly had to be plenty of food at each meal.

I remember spending hours in the living room each afternoon preparing for meals & baking delicious desserts. I have never entirely stopped cooking since I was a girl, but when my wife & I were first married, it was just him & me, & I cooked like there was an army coming over for dinner. We ended up having five children of our own, so there was constantly someone to cook for; Now that my teenagers are grown, I spend most of my afternoons cooking for elderly people in our church and an orphanage in our town. The only trouble I have now a afternoons is the humidity that cooking creates in my house, but because it’s just my wife & me, we decided to transport into a small, cozy home. It entirely works good for us in every way except for when I’m cooking. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I’m steaming something on the stove or baking something in the oven, the cabin constantly gets very moderate & humid. To try & solve this problem, my wife bought a dehumidifier & runs it 24/7 in the living room. I have noticed a slight difference, but nothing significant. My wife says she thinks if she buys one more it will do the trick. I hope he’s right because I’ve about had it with the humidity.
