Springtime & Temperature Fluxuations
I enjoy the cool mornings & crip air of Autumn.
To be honest, I entirely enjoy every season of the year except for the Spring.
Springtime used to be my number one time of the year because of the start of current life & all of the excitement that Springtime brings. My enjoy for Spring stopped when my wife & I moved way up North to live near her parents. The Springs in the North can be described in one word “crazy.” One afternoon it’s moderate out & you feel summer time is nigh, but the next afternoon, it’s snowing. My terrible cabin can’t take all the temperature changes. The boiler is on for two afternoons then the a/c is on for a week then back to the boiler. It constantly seems like a ridiculous unending cycle. Not only are the temperatures wacked, but the heavy amounts of rain make everything muddy & damp. I have to run my dehumidifier 24/7 during the Springtime in order to keep the floors from getting damp & slippery. My wife decided that instead of having to turn the boiler on so often during the ridiculous Spring months, we should use small electric heaters in our bedroom & just dress moderate during the afternoon. We tried that for a week, & by the end of that week, she turned the boiler back on. It amazes me how the temperature can go from the upper thirties to the seventies & back down again all in one week. I know it’s simply a part of life for us, but I wish we could find a way to keep the cabin at the right temperature separate from having to switch between the heating system & a/c all Spring long.
