The furnace got torn up because of some water complications
Last month at mom’s church, the furnace got torn up because of some water complications that they ended up having in the church basement. They had a leak that happened with the hot water tank down there and it ended up causing many complications for them. Mom could not think what a mess the basement of the church was in when she went in there to check it out last week. It was terrible. The worst part about the entire issue was the fact that it ruined all of the carpet and that, in turn, ruined the heater. The furnace down there in the church basement wasn’t ancient, either. Mom had just had it installed by her commercial Heating and Air Conditioning corporation several years ago and so losing that was a big pain, too. She called the insurance corporation and they let her know that they are going to be covering the cost of a new furnace for the building, so at least that’s a great thing. They won’t cover the cost of the carpet at all. There’s something in the contract about how they will only cover detriments to concrete and stone floors, but not wood floors or carpet. Mom doesn’t know why in the world that would be an issue, but it’s right there in black as well as white so I’m not going to argue about it. Anyway, she has a call into her commercial Heating and Air Conditioning corporation and they are supposed to be coming to replace the furnace in a few days. It’s a superb thing too, because mom is supposed to have another freezing soon.
